Constant web tension irrespective of reel
diameter and web speed is beneficial in many applications.
The Harnden Power Driven Unwind achieves this with an AC drive
linked to run at the same linear speed as the bag machine
capstan. The tension of the reels can be set using one
simple control. The unwind is also fitted with pneumatic
loading arms which lift the reel from the floor to its running
position. Edge guided centre folding equipment can
also be fitted if required.
